The Canadian Stroke Congress is a joint initiative of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Stroke Consortium.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s mission is to prevent disease, save lives and promote recovery. Our vision is a world where Canadians live healthy lives free of heart disease and stroke.
We are committed to have the greatest tangible impact in improving the health of Canadian families every day.
Together with our volunteers, donors, researchers and partners, we create survivors.
Created, owned and operated by its members, the Canadian Stroke Consortium is the nation’s premiere stroke healthcare practitioner network. It is an academic alliance committed to the pursuit of anti-stroke therapies by designing and/or conducting research projects and clinical trials. Many of its members are opinion leaders in Canadian and international stroke research and clinical practice. Together with the pharmaceutical industry, its combined efforts continue to support emerging trends in CNS therapeutic development.
The Consortium was established in 1993, incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1996, and today has a growing membership and client base. By managing all business activities through its Toronto-based headquarters, the Consortium offers a professional approach to satisfying the demands of the neuroscience industry.
