Lunch and Learn: Friday, September 18, 2015
Bayer Inc. will be presenting a Lunch and Learn session on Friday, September 18th from 12:00 to 1:00 pm in the Mirvish Room entitled “Stroke Prevention in AF: Beyond Clinical Trials, Real Life Outcomes From Around the Globe”.
Dr. Mike Sharma, program chair, and Dr. Theodore Wein, presenter, will highlight real world safety and efficacy data from stroke prevention in AF registries around the globe.
Lunch and Learn: Saturday, September 19, 2015
BMS/Pfizer Alliance will be hosting a Lunch and Learn session on Saturday, September 19th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the Mirvish Room entitled “Exploring the Universe of Oral Anticoagulants for Stroke Patients with Non-Valvular Atrial Fibrillation”. Dr. David Gladstone will review the ABCDEs of Anticoagulant Monitoring: A Practical Checklist for Clinicians, followed by Dr. Sylvain Lanthier who will present challenging patient cases in stroke prevention in AF.

Advances in Stroke Recovery is an annual meeting of the Heart and Stroke Foundation Canadian Partnership for Stroke Recovery. The meeting showcases exciting new discoveries and research in stroke recovery. It will be held immediately preceding the Canadian Stroke Congress.
The meeting will run from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. immediately prior to the opening session of the Canadian Stroke Congress at the Toronto Congress Centre on Dixon Road. Registration for the Canadian Stroke Congress is separate, i.e. registration for Advances in Stroke Recovery will not provide attendees with access to the Canadian Stroke Congress.

Shuttle Bus Schedule
Shuttle Service from the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites and the Hilton Garden Inn to the Toronto Congress Centre will be provided daily. The shuttle bus schedule will be as follows:
Thursday, September 17 – noon until 1:30 p.m.
Friday, September 18 – 7:45 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
Saturday, September 19 – 7:45 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
Return shuttles to both hotels will commence on completion of the daily scheduled Congress programming.
Avoid long registration lines by registering on Wednesday, September 16 between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites.
Registration at the Toronto Congress Centre will open at 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 17.
